Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Rockets fell to the San Antonio Spurts 110-107 on Tuesday Night. During the overtime loss, the Rockets struggled shooting down the stretch leading many to speculate how tired the team was. Part of that fatigue, which was confirmed by head coach Mike D’Antoni after the game, was wondering why Montrez Herrell and Sam Dekker were not used at all off the bench.
SportsRadio 610’s Sean Pendergast, one-third of The Triple Threat on 2p-6p weekdays, quipped during the end of the game that he would like to watch the exit interviews the team holds with players of the two guys left on the bench during one of the most important games of they year.
After the game, Sean received a notification on his phone that Harrell himself thought the tweet was good when he got a notification that the 6’8″ power forward had liked the tweet.
Aside from the excellent use of battery life by Sean, to see the Rockets player who recently lost a big game find this tweet and like it is obviously bringing up questions. Obviously, he could have just thought it was a funny tweet. But it will be something that people read into as him not liking being benched during the playoffs. Harell does not follow Pendergast, so it is not apparent how he saw the tweet, which was retweeted only four times.
As of this posting, Harrell had not rescinded on his favoriting of the tweet.
