PHILADELPHIA (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans selected Oregon State cornerback Treston Decoud with their fifth round selection (169th overall) in the 2017 NFL draft.
The 6’2″ 206 pound defensive back made 21 career starts for the Beavers, starting 12 games as a senior in 2016 and was tied for the team lead with 12 pass break-ups and was sixth on the team with 58 tackles.
He is the cousin of former Falcons and Panthers safety Thomas Decoud.
The Texans were in need of cornerback depth after the free agent departure of AJ Bouye to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
