Texans Trade Up To Take Deshaun Watson 12th

Philadelphia (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans traded their 2017 & 2018 1st round picks to the Cleveland Browns to get this year’s 12th overall pick and they selected quarterback Deshaun Watson from Clemson with that pick.

The Texans haven’t taken a 1st round quarterback since David Carr in their first draft 1st overall.

Watson led the Tigers to the 2016 National Championship over Alabama.

Watson started for two-and-a-half years for the Tigers taking them to two straight National Championship games while throwing for 10,000+ yards and 90 touchdowns while throwing 32 interceptions.
