PHILADELPHIA (CBS HOUSTON) – The Cleveland Browns selected Texas A&M pass rusher Myles Garrett with the first overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft from Philadelphia.

The Browns still hold the twelfth overall selection in this year’s draft as they hold Philadelphia’s selection.

Garrett was a two time first team All-American and All-SEC at Texas A&M and elected to enter the NFL after his junior season.

Garrett was the favorite to be the first overall selection despite recent rumors that the Browns were considering taking quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.

Garrett racked up 31 sacks in 34 games with 47 tackles for a loss over three seasons with the Aggies.
