Cowboys-Cardinals To Kick Off 2017 Pre Season

HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – The NFL released the preliminary 2017 pre-season schedule for all 32 teams on Monday which begins with the annual Hall of Fame Game on Thursday August 3rd in Canton, Ohio with the Dallas Cowboys facing the Arizona Cardinals. The game will be televised by NBC with an 8:00 pm kickoff.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and former Rams and Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner will be among those enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame during the weekend festivities.

Most of the games have yet to be given official days and times with the exception of a select nationally televised games.

In the second week of the preseason ESPN will televise two games with the first to be played between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday August 17th. The second is in their standard Monday Night Football time slot between the Giants and the Cleveland Browns.

In the third week of the preseason CBS will carry Kansas City versus Seattle on Friday August 25th and the first ever meeting between the two Los Angeles franchises with the Chargers and Rams meeting at the Coliseum on Saturday August 26th.

On Sunday August 27th FOX will televise a doubleheader with the Chicago Bears and new quarterback Mike Glennon hosting the Tennessee Titans for a 1:00 pm kickoff.. In the second half of the twin-bill the Cincinnati Bengals face the Washington Redskins.

NBC closes out the national preseason schedule on the evening of August 27th with Sunday Night Football as the San Francisco 49ers visit the Minnesota Vikings.
