Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – NRG Stadium will be the host of two of the biggest teams in English soccer according to ESPN FC. Manchester City and Manchester United will face off in an International Champions Cup game at the Houston Texans home on July 20th.
The game had already been announced and the date set, but this is the most concrete report of a venue for the game. It was previously reported the game would take place in San Diego.
United has visited Houston before, defeating the MLS All-Stars 5-2 at NRG stadium in 2010.
This will be the first Manchester Derby ever played outside of England after last year’s scheduled game in China was cancelled.
