New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s missing jersey from Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas and his jersey from the Super Bowl two years earlier were both found in Mexico, it was announced on Monday.
The NFL said an investigation by the FBI, NFL security, and local Texas law enforcement tracked the jersey to the possession of a “credentialed member of the international media.”
Houston police chief Art Acevedo made an announcement on Twitter that the jersey was found in Mexico.
“The Super Bowl LI jersey worn last month by MVP Tom Brady has been recovered,” the NFL’s statement said. “Also retrieved during the ongoing investigation was the jersey Brady wore in the Patriots’ victory in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks in 2015.”
There were no reports that Brady’s jersey from the 2015 game had gone missing. His jersey from Super Bowl LI was reported missing shortly after the game when Brady noticed it was gone and said something to Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
