HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – While the Houston Texans are waiting patiently for the Dallas Cowboys to cut Tony Romo for a run at the veteran signal caller.

Whomever is taking snaps for Houston in 2017, one of his receiving targets will be returning as Saturday the Texans agreed to terms with tight end Ryan Griffin on a new 3-yr deal worth $9 million.

The Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson reported that the deal pays Griffin $3.225 million in guaranteed money.

Griffin posted a career best 50 catches for 442 yards in his fourth season with the club.
