REPORT: Texans Making Offer To Bouye To Counter Eagles

Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Philadelphia Eagles are after the Houston Texans biggest free agent and the Texans are going to try and hold onto cornerback AJ Bouye according to a report from Ed Werder.  The Texans decided to not franchise the undrafted defensive back last week and Bouye will be an unrestricted free-agent when the NFL League year begins March 9th at 3:00 pm Central Tim.

Bouye had his best season for the Texans last year, becoming their top rated cornerback and one of the best coverage corners in the NFL last season. He has six interceptions in his four years with the Texans.

There are a lot of cornerbacks in the draft this year. Unfortunately, they’re probably going to have to let him go, if they don’t get rid of Jonathan Joseph first.
