Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans are reportedly interested in Tony Romo as a possible option for their 2017 quarterback. According to Adam Schefter and Todd Archer the Dallas Cowboys will release the 37-year-old quarterback on Thursday.
The Texans would be able to sign Romo starting at 3pm on Thursday when the NFL league year begins. The Texans would then have four quarterbacks under contract for 2017. Brock Osweiler, Tom Savage and Brandon Weeden are all locked up for 2017. Weeden would not cost the Texans anything if they released him.
