Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Dallas Cowboys legend Daryl Johnston joined In The Loop with John Lopez and Cody Stoots on Radio Row on Wednesday and talked about the Texans quarterback situation.
Tony Romo, the Cowboys current backup quarterback could be on the market, and Johnston thinks the look of him in Houston would work.
“I think it’s the best possibility,” Johnston told In The Loop.
Romo, 36, is available from the Cowboys because of the emergence of Dak Prescott who led Dallas to a 14-2 record on the season before their playoff loss in the divisional round to the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys all-time leader in passing touchdowns and yards would most likely be acquired via tab.
The Texans currently have three quarterbacks under contract, Brock Osweiler, Tom Savage and Brandon Weeden are all signed for the 2017 season.
