HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw admitted he is not a fan of Houston quarterback Brock Osweiler as he addressed a media contingent with the rest of the FOX Sport talent on Tuesday at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
“Yeah he’s bad,” Bradshaw blurted out as he was being asked about the Texans starter. “I don’t like him.Osweiler is too slow for me, he’s way too slow. That’s just me. I don’t like him. I said so.”
Bradshaw isn’t convinced that the Texans will make the right decision for a quarterback with their most recent opportunity citing they, “haven’t done anything right yet.”
One name that could be available this offseason is Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo who suffered a pre-season and injury and was eventually unseated from his starting perch by rookie signal caller Dak Prescott.
“That’s a guy that if he stays healthy he could buy you a couple years while you find a quarterback,” Bradshaw said of Romo.
“If I had my little crystal ball and I could rub on that sucker and it says Romo is good for three years, (expletive) I’d be all over that,” Bradshaw said. “Houston would be awesome.”
Bradshaw said the problems with the Texans go beyond the quarterback position as he still believes, like his FOX colleague Jay Glazer does, that there is turmoil between head coach Bill O’Brien.
“You got to worry about keeping O’Brien (in Houston),” Bradshaw said.”Everybody loves O’Brien. They’re talking about him getting out of here and moving next year.”
Bradshaw will once again be responsible for emceeing the Vince Lombardi trophy presentation of for Fox Sports at the conclusion of Super Bowl 51.
