Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans had a banner year from former number one overall pick Jadeveon Clowney in 2016. He made the Pro Bowl and was an absolute terror for opposing offenses this season, even without J.J. Watt on the other side. It was Clowney’s first healthy year of his career. He played in 14 of 16 games this year, being held out of the week 17 game after the Texans clinched the AFC South.
According to SportsRadio 610’s John McClain Clowney has withdrawn from the Pro Bowl after having surgery on his left knee.
Clowney had surgery after his first season on his right knee that caused him to miss most of that year.
Clowney finished the season with six sacks in his first year as a right defensive end.
