Jadeveon Clowney has more than begun to live up to his former number one overall draft pick status for the Texans this season. With JJ Watt missing much of the season, Clowney has been one of the key reasons that the Texans entered Wild Card weekend as the number one ranked team in the NFL in yards allowed.
With the Texans hosting the Raiders and their rookie backup quarterback Connor Cook, Clowney made his presence felt in the game early. On the Raiders second drive of the game, Clowney showed off his hand-eye coordination with a one handed tipped interception.
That set the offense up in great field position, and, on their first play following the turnover, Lamar Miller put points on the board.
The sequence gave the Texans a 10-0 lead.
