O’Brien: Brock Osweiler Will Start Divisional Round Game

Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans will see Brock Osweiler man the quarterback position for the second straight week after beating the Oakland Raiders 27-14 in the Wild card round of the NFL Playoffs, head coach Bill O’Brien confirmed in his post game press conference Saturday.

Osweiler stepped in for an injured Tom Savage after Savage replaced him in week 15 and played consistently for the Texans Saturday.  Savage missed the game on Saturday being in the NFL concussion protocol and might be healthy for the game next week.

The Texans gave Osweiler a 4-year $72 million contract with $36 million this offseason.  He went 14-25 for 168 yards and a touchdown in the game. He also ran for a touchdown to help seal the Texans victory.
