Houston (CBS Houston) – Will Bruin, the Dynamo’s second leading scorer in franchise history, has been traded to Seattle FC.
In return the Dynamo receive General and Targeted allocation money for the 27-year-old forward.
Bruin is the second leading scorer in Dynamo history behind only Brian Ching. Bruin debuted with the club in 2011 scoring five goals in 25 games played. His best goal-scoring year came in his second season in the league when he scored 12 times.
In 2016 Bruin set career lows in goals (four), and in games started (18). When Wade Barrett was not hired as the Dynamo’s head coach, Bruin tweeted that he thought the move wasn’t a good one.
“Very, very disappointed Wade will not get the head coaching position. In my opinion, very foolish,” Bruin tweeted.
The Dynamo open the 2017 season against Bruin and Seattle FC on March 4.
