UPDATE: The Texans activated Scarlett from IR-Designated to return list on Saturday and expect him to play on Sunday.

HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – The Texans are expected to activate rookie outside linebacker Brennan Scarlett off of injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s match-up against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The team has not yet made the transaction although Bil O’Brien and Scarlett hinted that the move to the active roster was imminent.

Scarlett, an undrafted rookie out of Stanford,  injured his hamstring on special teams in the Texans October 16th win over the Colts. The Texans placed him on injured reserve on October 19th.

The NFL allows for a single player to be taken off injured reserve, provided that player has missed a minimum of eight weeks.

In three games this season Scarlett has five tackles.
