HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans will be without one of their top pass-catching threats on Sunday.
Tight End CJ Fiedorowicz was ruled out for Sunday’s home match-up against the Jacksonville Jaguars as he has not yet cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Fiedorowicz, who has been one of Brock Osweiler’s favorite targets this season, left last Sunday’s game against the Colts with a concussion and did not return. The third-year tight-end did not practice all week
Fiedorowicz has had a breakout year as a receiving tight end as he is second on the Texans with 48 receptions and three touchdowns. He has shattered his career highs in yards, receptions and touchdowns as Brock Osweiler’s safety net receiving target.
Fiedorowicz has had a variety of injuries this season including a sprained MCL in his knee and a nagging shoulder injury, but has not missed a game all season.
The Texans have also ruled guard Jeff Allen, linebacker John Simon, and safety Don Jones out for Sunday.
