Houston (CBS HOUSTON)– The now retired Andre Johnson has not taken his retirement to go hang out on the beach and do nothing. The former Texans Wide Receiver is still doing what he’s done for the last dozen years at this time of the year. Johnson took some special kids through a local toy store for the ultimate Christmas shopping spree.
Johnson ended up spending more than $19,000 on the kids Wednesday morning.
Johnson retired midway through the 2016 season after playing eight games with the Tennessee Titans. Johnson returned to Houston where he spent the first 12 years of his 14-year career and has been a fixture in helping the community the entire time.
