HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has been ruled out for Houston’s game against the Green Bay Packers Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field. Clowney is dealing with an elbow/wrist injury according to the injury report released by the Texans PR staff.

Clowney did not travel with the team to Green Bay on Saturday.

Clowney has played in all 11 games this season for the Texans after missing a combined 15 games in his first two NFL seasons.

This is another blow to a defense that is already missing top defensive players JJ Watt and Kevin Johnson due to season ending injuries.

The team has also ruled OUT wide receiver Jaelen Strong, running back Tyler Ervin, and linebacker John Simon.

Running back Alfred Blue is still dealing with a calf injury and is questionable for Sunday. Also questionable are linebacker Brian Cushing and safety Andre Hal.
