Texans Players Wearing Special Cleats This Sunday

Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – During Week 13 the NFL has allowed players to wear custom cleats to show for a cause or organization they support.  The move is a bit of a step out of the norm for the NFL which normally fines players for wearing anything that is outside of the standard issued uniform.

The Texans will have many players wearing some unique cleats on the field in Green Bay on Sunday.  With causes ranging from stopping abuse to autism to the Boys & Girls Club.

Here are some of the cleats you’ll see Sunday.

DeAndre Hopkins: Domestic Violence

Whitney Mercilus: Children with Disabilities

Kevin Johnson: Mental Health Awareness

Johnson won’t be on the field Sunday because of an injury, but still has his cleats for his cause.

Jadeveon Clowney: Boys & Girls Club of America

Andre Hal: Inner City Youth Of Houston

Jon Weeks: Ovarian Cancer Research

Charles James: Autism

Jaelen Strong: Leukemia

You can see all the cleats that will be out there at HoustonTexans.com.
