Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Houston Texans running back Alfred Blue made his return to practice Thursday. After a two-week absence with a calf injury, Blue is now primed for a return on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau field.
During media availability on Thursday Blue shared that he expects to be back for the game.
“It’s good to have him back,” Lamar Miller said. “He (does) a good job for this team and I’m looking forward to running the ball with him again.”
With only one more practice before Sunday’s game with the Packers, officially Blue will likely be a game-time decision.
Before missing the last two games, Blue had started to become an effective weapon in the running game with 127 yards in the three games before his injury.
Now healthy the Texans will look to quickly get Blue up to speed as soon as possible.
