Andre Johnson Sends Farewell Thank You: Houston “I’m Coming Home”

Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans all-time leader in every receiving category is coming home. Andre Johnson retired on Monday after 14 years in the NFL.  On Wednesday, the wide receiver sent an Instagram post thanking everyone who helped him to a possible Hall Of Fame Career and announced he’s returning to Houston, his “home.”

The message says:

“I was taught, by an amazing woman, that how you enter is the same way you should exit, mom, I love you for all that you gave and sacrificed.  My Uncle Andre, words alone can’t possibly express what you mean to me.  My agent Kennard McGuire, you are the best and an amazing man.  Charley Casserly, you made my dreams a reality.  To the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans, thanks to both classy organizations for allowing me to continue a dream.  To the McNair family and the Houston Texans organizatio, thank you for 12 incredible years of nothing short of love and support in every part of my life. To the city of Houston and the most incredible fans on earth, I simply end this journey by saying, Houston is my destination, I am coming home and I will always be a Texan.”

The 2003 third overall pick by the Texans became one of the most reliable wide receivers in the game for the Texans for the 12 seasons he played in Houston.
