Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans have had a bit of an injury problem in 2016 and it will continue into their week 8 game against the Detriot Lions. Running back Lamar Miller was hurt during the Texans 27-9 loss in Denver and might not be ready to play on a short week for the Texans.
“I would say that will be a game-time decision,” head coach Bill O’Brien said on Friday. “I think he did a decent job this week, but I still think that’s going to be something that’ll be made sometime Sunday morning.”
Miller practiced Thursday and Friday on a limited basis for the Texans. If Miller can’t go, backup running back Alfred Blue will be plugged in as the starter. Blue could get more carries even if Miller thinks he can go. Miller continued playing on Monday night after the injury but equaled Blue with 11 carries each.
