Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans might have to face the Detroit Lions on Saturday without or with a limited Lamar Miller. Miller the Texans starting running back reportedly hurt his shoulder during the Texans 27-9 loss to the Denver Broncos on Monday Night.
The Texans will hold their first practice of the week on Thursday and that will shine more light on how Miller is feeling.
“He’d definitely be in the day-to-day category,” Head Coach Bill O’Brien said Tuesday. “With a short week we’ll have to see how he is.”
Miller had only 11 carries for 61-yards in the Monday Night loss, missing a chunk of time as he tended to that shoulder injury. Alfred Blue carried the ball 11 times as well for 63-yards, but had a costly fumble deep in Broncos territory.
Thursday the Texans will be back on the practice field for the first time this week.
