Houston Texans Place Kevin Johnson On IR; Activate Ballentine

Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans have placed cornerback Kevin Johnson on the injured reserve list after the second year player hurt his foot in last Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Johnson, the first round pick of the Texans in 2015, had 25 tackles, three passes defended and one fumble recovery before getting injured.

The Texans also activated Safety Lonnie Ballentine from the physically unable to perform list. Ballentinte, the 2014 final pick of the draft, has spent most of his first three seasons in the league on the Injured List.

The Texans will be getting back cornerback Kareem Jackson from an injury that caused him to miss the last two games. A.J. Bouye will see more time in Kevin Johnson’s spot as the third cornerback.
