Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – One of the biggest dramas of the NFL this offseason was Brock Osweiler choosing the Houston Texans over the Denver Broncos.
Since being jilted the Broncos have been waiting to see their former quarterback.
“He’s like a gunslinger right now, He’s throwing the ball a lot,” cornerback Chris Harris Jr. told denverbroncos.com about facing Osweiler. “He’s throwing it everywhere and he’s also forcing a lot of throws so there’s a lot of opportunities to get picks.”
Middle linebacker Brandon Marshall also is very excited to see Osweiler.
“We know that Brock likes to hold the ball so I feel that we can get a lot of good pressure on him,” Marshall said, “Just watching their offense, I think this can be a great week for us, I can say that.”
On top of that, Marshall also mentioned that he wants to kill Osweiler.
When team’s head into a game week, very rarely do you see another team go out of their way to give opponents bulletin board material. But that is what is happening.
The Texans when asked for comments, refused to take the bait.
“I don’t think anything about that,” Head Coach Bill O’Brien said about the Broncos comments. “I’m concerned about implementing our game plan.”
Left tackle Duane Brown smiled when it was brought to his attention Marshall planned on killing Osweiler.
“Well, my job, as well as others, is to keep that from happening,” Brown said. “I got a job to do and I plan on doing it well.”
While the Texans might not be willing to engage in a war or word, it’s pretty likely they will remember come Monday.
