Cleveland, OH (CBS HOUSTON) – The debate over what is and what isn’t “locker room talk” has been a hot topic of conversation since a video of presidential nominee Donald Trump saying some lewd comments about sexually assaulting women was released on Friday. Trump apologized to anyone who was offended by his comments and he dismissed the words as “locker room” talk.”
On Wednesday, Cleveland Cavaliers leader LeBron James was asked what he thinks “locker room talk” is.
James, who has publicly endorsed Hillary Clinton for President, does not refer to Trump by name, just calling him “that guy” in the answer to the question.
Here is the entire explanation from James on what kind of conversations happen in the Cavs locker room.
“What is locker room talk to me? It’s not what that guy said. We don’t disrespect women in no shape or fashion in our locker room. Obviously, I have a mother in law, a wife, a mom and a daughter. Those conversations don’t go on in our locker room. What goes on in our locker room is sporting events that happened the night before, about family, about strategy that we may have that night, about a highlight that may have happened. If there was a home run in the bottom of the9th inning or a alley oop dunk from a player from a game the night before. That’s what happens in our locker room. [What] that guy was saying, I don’t know what that is, that’s trash talk.”
The Cavs are getting ready to defend their NBA Championship as the 2016-17 season is set to get underway in a few weeks.
