Texans Only Have One Healthy Tight End, But O’Brien Isn’t Worried

By: Joshua Reese

Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Wednesday, C.J. Fiedorowicz was the only tight end on the 53 man roster that was able to practice.

On Monday Stephen Anderson shared and hinted that he was “on target” to play on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, but Wednesday the rookie did not practice.

Also not practicing was Ryan Griffin who is in the league’s concussion protocol.

Griffin is a new add to the injury report but Anderson has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the week three game with the New England Patriots.

While it may look like the depth in pretty thin, the head coach isn’t concerned.

“(Ryan Griffin) is day to day, I think (Stephen) Anderson is day to day, C.J. (Fiedorowicz) was out there today had a good practice,” head coach Bill O’Brien said when asked about tight ends Wednesday, “I don’t know yet the exact who’s going to be active for the game, I don’t know if I’ll know that till the end of the week, but (I) feel pretty good at least two of those three will be active.”
