
The Texas A&M Aggies (6-0) were able to hold off Tennessee (5-1) in a big SEC matchup at Kyle Field, winning 45-38 in Double OT on Saturday. The win saw A&M move from No. 7 to No. 6 in the Amway Coaches Poll.
The University of Houston, which suffered their first defeat of the season losing to Navy 46-40, dropped to No. 12 from No. 5 in the poll effectively eliminating them from a chance at the College Football playoffs. Houston suffered the biggest fall in the poll for any team.
One other Texas school moved up in the rankings, Baylor crept into top-10, landing at No. 8, up three spots from No. 11 even though they had a bye week this week. Baylor does lead the Big 12 at 5-0 on the season, 2-0 in the conference.
