Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Denver Broncos Coach Gary Kubiak was brought to the hospital after the Broncos loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday with flu-like symptoms.
The Broncos said that Kubiak was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons. The Super Bowl winning coach stayed at the game through its entirety despite feeling ill during the 23-16 loss.
In 2013, Kubiak was taken to the hospital at halftime of a game when he was coaching the Houston Texans after suffering a transient ischemic attack, more commonly called a “mini-stroke.” Kubiak spent two days in the hospital after the attack and coached from the press box a few weeks before he lost his job as the Texans went 2-14 that season.
As of Monday morning Kubiak remains in the hospital in Denver.
Denver plays on Thursday night against the San Diego Chargers on Thursday Night.
