Kareem Jackson Inactive For Texans With Hamstring Injury

Minneapolis, MN (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans will have to face the Minnesota Vikings without one of their leaders on defense in cornerback Kareem Jackson. Jackson was listed as inactive for the Texans on Sunday with a hamstring injury.

The seven-year veteran typically lines up as the 1a cornerback to Jonathan Joseph but hurt his hamstring during the Texans win over the Tennessee Titans in week 4.  He played through the injury during the win, but couldn’t get healthy during the week.

With Jackson out Kevin Johnson will likely step into the role as the second cornerback behind Joseph.

The Texans are also without J.J. Watt on defense who will miss the entire season after back surgery after week 3. Left Tackle Duane Brown will play for the first time this season for the Texans.
