Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller was named the AFC Special Teams player of the week on Wednesday after his 67-yard punt return for a touchdown on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Fuller only played one special teams down during the Texans 27-20 victory but it was that one snap that gave the Texans the lead they would not relinquish.
This was the second Player of the Week award for the Texans this season. Whitney Mercilus won Defensive Player of the Week in Week 1. Fuller is also taking home the first Special Teams Player of the Week since Randy Bullock won it in week 16 of the 2014 season.
