HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Texans left tackle Duane Brown, who has missed the first four games of the season, expects to be back for the Texans when they face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

“As of now I think I’ll be good to go,” Brown said after practice Wednesday.

The former all-pro hasn’t seen the field since he injured his quadriceps tendon in Week 17 last season which required surgery and an extensive rehabilitation. He returned to practice last week and was inactive for the Texans 27-20 win over the Titans on Sunday

Brown said he felt very encouraged by his progress on Wednesday, but said it will depend on how he feels Thursday.

“Today is the toughest day I have had just pushing it as much as I have  to make sure tomorrow I feel good,  “Tomorrow will be another tough day and I’ll be able to have a good idea from there.”

Brown was asked if he would play barring any setbacks during the rest of the week.

“Yeah, absolutely”
