HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Injuries have been the most important takeaway for the Texans entering their week four matchup against their AFC South rival Tennessee.
The newest addition to the injury report on Thursday was cornerback Kareem Jackson who was listed as a limited participant with a neck injury.
Jackson, along with tackle Duane Brown(knee) linebacker Brian Cushing (knee) safety Quintin Demps (hamstring) and right tackle Derrick Newton (knee) also were listed as limited participants for the second straight day.
Cushing returned to the practice field Wednesday less than three weeks after injuring his knee in the season opener against Chicago. His return came two days after the long awaited return of Brown who missed all of training camp rehabilitating from an injured quad.
Three-time defensive player of the year JJ Watt was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday and could miss the entirety of the regular season.
