CBS Houston – The offensive line has not been one of the strongest position group for the Houston Texans this season. The good news is a needed boost in the arm could be making a return to action this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
“It’s a possibility,” Daune Brown said of giving it a go this Sunday, “I’m not looking too far ahead but I’m very encouraged by the work I have done the past couple of days.”
The Pro Bowl left tackle has been out of action since last season when he received surgery for a torn quad. But the past few days Brown has been seen at practice and on the team’s injury report Wednesday it listed him as a limited participant.
“Feeling really good today, probably do a little more tomorrow and go from there,” Brown said.
The ultimate decision on Brown will come a little later in the week but the work he’s been able to do is a good sign for a return to the field.
Playing in Brown’s stead has been Chris Clark and when the Pro Bowler is able to return it will free Clark up so he is able to move back to swing tackle and add some needed depth to the offensive line.
