REPORT: LSU Fires Les Miles After 12 Seasons

Baton Rouge, LA (CBS HOUSTON) – LSU has fired head football coach Les Miles according to multiple reports.

Miles led the Tigers for 12 years of solid play in the SEC West division.  He led LSU to the 2007 BCS National Championship.

The school also let go offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.

The Bayou Bengals were supposed to be a top contender to reach the College Football playoffs this year, but after a 2-2 start decided it was time for Miles to go.  LSU looked to have made a miraculous last second win over rival Auburn on Saturday night, but a review nullified the winning score because the snap was not taken in time.

Ed Orgeron was named the team’s interim head coach.
