The UFC stormed into Hidalgo, TX on Saturday night with a Fight Night card that was headlined by Dustin Poirier vs. Michael Johnson. One round was all it took Michael Johnson to put away the streaking Poirier away with a KO victory going to Johnson, who picked up his first win in 19 months. The loss for Poirier knocked him off a four fight win streak in the UFC‘s lightweight division.

The controversy comes after the fight though, with the way Johnson reacted to his upset victory. Here are some of Johnson‘s comments about besting Poirier in the contest:

Personally, I don’t see much of a problem with Johnson being amped up after the victory.Sure, he could have been more graceful, but he had just saved himself three consecutive losses, and likely his fighting career in the UFC.

A member of the UFC staff caught this moment after the fight, showing that Johnson and Poirier exchanged a moment of sportsmanship after their bout.

Love the sportsmanship!!
