Texans OL Jeff Allen Limited In Practice For Second Straight Day

HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – Texans right guard Jeff Allen was limited in practice for the second straight day as the Texans continue to prepare for Sunday’s match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The injury report listed Allen has being limited with an injured calf. He was seen working out on a stationary bike during the portion of practice open to the media Thursday.

The report also listed JJ Watt (back), Christian Covington (groin), and Derek Newton (knee) as limited participants. It was the first time those three players were listed as “limited”

Allen is expected to play in the game as he faces his former team.

Bill O’Brien acknowledged the limited designation but did say it was unlikely he would miss any time.

“I think he’ll be ready to go,” He’s been involved in the jog throughs and things like that….He would follow under the category of limited and be probably ready to go on Sunday.”

Knowing he his right guard would be looking forward to facing his former team, “I don’t think he’s going to miss this game.”
