Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – The Houston Texans are dealing with some injuries on their offensive line. Rookie starting center Nick Martin is out for the season after having ankle surgery. Starting right tackle Derek Newton is nursing a hamstring injury.  Thursday, Ian Rapaport is reporting starting left tackle Duane Brown won’t be ready for the start of the season.

If Brown does end up on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list for the regular season he would not be able to return until after Week 6 for the Texans.

With Brown’s injury, Chris Clark would likely get the majority of time at left tackle for the now patchwork Texans offensive line.

Brown left the final game of the Texans season with the quad injury. He missed the Texans 30-0 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
