Max Bullough: Making Or Missing The Cut

[EDITOR’S NOTE: WE ARE ASKING EACH OF OUR JOCKS TO DECIDE IF A BUBBLE PLAYER FOR THE HOUSTON TEXANS IS GOING TO MAKE THE CUT AND BE ON TEAM’S 53-MAN ROSTER OR MISS THE CUT AND BE CUT BY THE TEAM. THE FIFTH OF THE SERIES IS BY TED JOHNSON – TRIPLE THREAT 2P-6P – ON LINEBACKER JAY PROSCH]

Max Bullough is making this team.

He is undersized for the position but his instincts and high motor are his distinguishing characteristics.  The Texans are very good at developing players (ie. Whitney Mercilus, Derek Newton and Andre Hal) and they clearly see Max as a guy worth developing.

Also, the Texans want to have a core group of players that represent their Special Teams and turn that side of their team around. A guy like Max could factor in on being a part of that core group for new special teams coach Larry Izzo.

Check out our other “Making Or Missing The Cut” pieces:

Alfred Blue – John Lopez

Brandon Dunn – Cody Stoots

Jay Prosch – Sean Pendergast

Brandon Weeden – Mike Meltser
