by Matt Hammond, SportsRadio 610

The NBA has released the 2016-17 regular season schedule. Here are some key dates for the Houston Rockets.

Oct. 26 @ Los Angeles Lakers: James Harden’s first game with new head coach Mike D’Antoni, and his system. It’s also Harden’s first game since signing a four-year, $118 million contract extension. Batter up.

Oct. 28 @ Dallas Mavericks: Boo, Mavericks.

Oct. 30 vs. Dallas Mavericks: Your first chance to actually boo the Mavericks in person.

Nov. 1 @ Cleveland Cavliers: If you wanna be the best…

Nov. 2 @ New York Knicks: For all the bozos out there who think Harden is Carmelo 2.0.

Nov. 9 @ San Antonio Spurs: 1-3, minus-55 last season against Pop and Co.

Nov. 16 @ Oklahoma City Thunder: You sure you’d rather have Russell Westbrook than Harden?

Dec. 1 @ Golden State Warriors: Rematch of last year’s first-round playoff matchup. The Warriors won in five games, despite not having Steph Curry for most of the series.

Dec. 21 @ Phoenix Suns: D’Antoni’s first meeting with his former team.

Apr. 12 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: 2016-17 season finale? Or only the regular season finale?
