J.J. Watt did not follow in the family line of work. His father was a firefighter for 28 years. Watt decided to go the football route and become one of the best players in the NFL within his first 5 years in the league.
J.J. did spend some time this offseason with the Pewaukee firefighters training and feeling what it is like to be a true hero. They didn’t disappoint. Taking the hardest working player in the NFL and putting him down quickly.
“I pride myself on being a great athlete, but these drills kind of put me under the table real quick,” the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year said.
Watt is currently recovering from back surgery that could hold the three-time defensive player of the year out a few weeks of the regular season. Watt has never missed a game in his career.
