First round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys Ezekiel Elliott is being accused of domestic violence by his girlfriend Tiffany Thompson on Friday morning. Elliot denies the claim.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ Elliott was accused by Thompson of abusing her while she sat in the driver’s seat of a car. Police talked to Elliot and Thompson along with four witnesses.
The four witnesses all claim to have not seen the assault, one of the witnesses is reported to have been in the car at the time of the altercation.
Police did not arrest Elliot due to conflicting reports. The accuser was referred to the prosecutor’s office if she wished to try and press charges against the rookie running back.
Thompson then posted photos on her private Instagram of bruises she claims are because of domestic violence. In the two sets of photo collages, which appear on Deadspin, Thompson shows bruises on her arms and neck and only on the second photo does she tag Elliot’s account. On her first post with the pictures she makes a long statement about abuse.
“Just for every women (sic) out there getting abused it’s time to put a stop to it. This has been happening to me for months and it finally got out of control to where I was picked up and thrown across the room by my arms. Thrown into walls. Being choked to where I have to gasp for breath. Bruised everywhere, mentally and physically abused. It’s not okay. So I want each and everyone one of you girls to step away now from domestic violence. You’re worth so much more. I got told it was called “tough love” I’m sorry if you love someone you don’t touch your loved ones.”
UPDATE: Michael Irvin spoke with the Rich Eissen Show and says he’s talked to Elliot:
Also, Elliot’s father released a statement.
There are also reports that Elliott has text messages proving she is blackmailing him for breaking off the relationship.
This is a developing story and we will update here with more information.
