Austin (CBS HOUSTON) – With the talk of Big 12 expansion getting major traction the past few days president of the most powerful school in the conference weighed on Thursday.
With many schools looking to crack into the Big 12 and make the conference again a 12-team or possibly even 14-team conference Greg Fenves, the President of the University of Texas says one of the schools he’d consider to add would be the University of Houston.
Currently, at 10 teams the Big 12 is the smallest of the Power 5 conferences and in 2016 it will be the final season the conference will be without a conference title game.
Other schools that have been mentioned in the expansion include Memphis, Central Florida, South Florida and Cincinatti.
