Tom Brady Accepts 4-Game Deflategate Suspension

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady announced on his facebook page that he will accept the NFL’s 4-game suspension for his actions in the 2014 “Deflategate” issue.

On his official Facebook page:

On Wednesday Brady had his appeal to have his case retried at Federal Court denied. His only recourse to try and get the suspension overturned would be to try and take the case to the Supreme Court.

With the suspension, Brady will miss the first four games of the Patriots season which includes a week 3 matchup in Foxborough on Thursday Night Football against the Houston Texans. Jimmy Garapolo will likely be the Patriots starter in the four games the four-time Super Bowl Champion will miss.

Brady was originally suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season but successfully appealed the ruling to have the suspension stayed.  The NFL was able to have that decision reversed by the courts and the suspension upheld after the 2015 season.
