DALLAS (AP) — A computer software support technician who worked from his Dallas-area home must serve more than 17 years in prison for sharing child pornography.

Kevin Arthur Miles of Grand Prairie was sentenced by a federal judge in Dallas. The 44-year-old Miles pleaded guilty last year to transportation of child pornography.

Prosecutors on Wednesday announced Miles received a 210-month prison term in a case involving child porn available from his computer. Investigators recovered hundreds of child porn images and videos also located chats involving Miles and others discussing their interest in molesting small children.

Miles, who’s been in custody since his March 2013 arrest, was sentenced Friday.
