Houston (CBS Houston)- At one point this off-season Andre Johnson questioned if the Texans were the right team for him, but on Friday an upbeat Johnson had a very different outlook.

When asked point blank if he wanted to finish his career in a Texans uniform, Johnson replied, “That’s my plan.”

But entering his 12th NFL season Johnson is well aware that plans can change.

“At the same time it’s a business.” Johnson said. “Nobody never thought (sic) Jerry Rice would wear another uniform. There’s a lot of guys that played this game that you never thought you’d see them in another uniform but it ended up happening. So, a lot of times you have no control over that.”

Johnson had multiple conversations with the front office and Bill O’Brien, which he said left him ‘comfortable’ with the direction of the organization.

“If everything works out, in a perfect world I hope this is the only place that I play.” Johnson said.

Johnson has two more years on his contract after the 2014 season.
