CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (CBS Houston) — A fan is accused of trying to punch a minor league pitcher after running onto the field during a game.

Video captures 35-year-old Nikolas Swope running onto the field after Midland Rockhounds pitcher Blake Hassebrock hit Corpus Christi Hooks first baseman Telvin Nash with a pitch in the leg. KZTV reports that Swope tried to punch Hassebrock before the pitcher began backing away.

Hassebrock’s Rockhounds’ teammates then swarmed the mound, pushing Swope down to the ground. Both dugouts eventually emptied before Swope was taken off the field.

Corpus Christi authorities tell KZTV that Swope was under the influence of alcohol when he charged the pitcher and is facing criminal trespassing and assault charges.

The Hooks are the Houston Astros’ Double-A affiliate.
