SPRING, Texas (AP) — A suspect in a Houston-area shooting spree that left six people dead and one hurt has been charged with capital murder in the apparent domestic dispute.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says 33-year-old Ronald Lee Haskell was booked Thursday on a capital murder charge and held without bond.
Online records don’t list an attorney for Haskell, who surrendered Wednesday night in Spring.
Authorities believe Haskell fatally shot two adults and four of their children, and critically wounded their 15-year-old daughter.
The slain children include two boys ages 4 and 14, plus two girls ages 7 and 9.
Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman says Haskell’s wife is related to the couple killed Wednesday. He says Haskell and his wife were in the process of divorcing.(Copyright 2014 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.)
